1997 Queen's Birthday
Australia Post has been issuing a Queen Birthday stamp each year since 1980. This 1997 iteration marks the 50th anniversary of the wedding of Her Royal Highness Princess Elizabeth to Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. A stamp was produced in 1947 to celebrate the occasion and it is reproduced here in its original design and colour.
