Christianity has been a feature in many of the early Christmas stamp issues. The 15c stamp depicts Mary and the Three Wise men overlooking Mary and baby Jesus in a cradle while the 45c incorporates a star referencing the verse from the bible “the light shineth in darkness” (John 1:5)
