1996 Olympic Games Atlanta /Sydney

This stamp issue commemorates the handing of the Olympic Flag from the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games to Sydney, Australia. The stamp design features the eagle and kangaroo, symbols of the United States and Australia. Superimposed is the Olympic Flame, highlighted with textured foil, which has been applied to give a light-reflecting effect to the flame.
