1994 Zoos Endangered Species
These stamps highlight a few species that zoos around Australia have been trying to conserve.
They include the Scarlet Macaw (Ara macao), the Asian Elephant (Elephas maximus), the Orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus), Fijian crested iguana (Brachylophus vitiensis), Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus)
Since the issue of these stamps the Scarlet Macaw is no longer endangered. The Cheetah has been downgraded to vulnerable.
